Bob cut his marketing teeth knee deep in suds and oil, sailed through the “dark side” of advertising, rang up sales in retail, cooked up menus and finally read the tea leaves. All this… just to gain one more market share, win one more client, make one more sale or build one more brand. Bob is a marketer’s marketer, having crafted marketing and advertising strategy from both sides of the desk. As the “dreaded client” Bob led brands like Budweiser, Pennzoil and 7-Eleven. Then on that “dark” agency side as G.M. of BBDO Houston, he forged plans for brands like Shell Chemical, Texaco Gasoline and Aviation, Corterra Carpeting, Southwest Bank of Texas, Pizza Hut and others.
Having developed the strategy and approved the budgets, Bob has “…walked the walk” as the marketer, so he gets client expectations. And, having worked with clients, from blue chip to smaller entrepreneurial companies, he understands how to exceed those client expectations.
Bob brings an expertise in market positioning and brand building strategy along with the most critical eye for powerful marketing communications. He understands both the importance of the strategic plan and the contribution of the simplest tactic. He believes business-to-business marketing can be just as dynamic as that fun consumer stuff. Bob earned his BS and MBA from Southern Illinois University.
